No equipment necessary but be sure to bring something with you to take notes.

By bringing in theatre professionals who are also educators, we provide top-level arts instruction to students who are seriously considering further study in theatre, while at the same time, providing an environment where all students, regardless of where life takes them, will develop their creativity, teamwork, focus, and ability to communicate.

8/7/2014 9:30 AM - 1:00 PM, Research on high performance work systems (HPWS) has demonstrated that good Human Resource Management (HRM) practices can have a direct impact on organizational performance and critical employee outcomes, such as employee engagement and turnover. This session will introduce participants to this strategic HRM framework. Drawing on a seven-state study of small nonprofit organizations, participants will examine which HRM practices had the most significant impact. The session will also focus on highlighting best practices that emerged from case studies of the top 16 nonprofits (highest performers). Participants will leave the class with tools to help improve HR practices.
This workshop is co-sponsored by Council of United Way Agencies.
