Small Business Awards Lunch
Wed., May. 26, 2010 | 11:30am - 01:30pm

Recognize excellence in small business by celebrating the nominations of outstanding small businesses throughout the region at our 22nd Annual Small Business Awards.

Keynote Address: “Lessons Learned In the Trenches: A Contractors Strategy to Overcoming Tough Times”

Keynote Speaker: Carol Curtis, Owner, Noah Enterprises, Inc.

Carol is the sole owner of Noah Enterprises, Inc., a General Contracting firm headquartered in Virginia Beach which she began in 2004.  At any given hour, you can find Carol in work boots and her Noah Enterprises had hat on a muddy job site.  That night, you would be greeted with a welcoming , warm smile from that same woman at an industry meeting or cheering on her son at his baseball game.  No doubt a hands-on general contractor, Carol Curtis is a woman determined to succeed.   In a few short years, she has grown the company to over $7 million in sales and 22 employees.  With an A.A.S. Degree in Civil Engineering degree and a certification in the US Army’s Corps of Engineers, CQM, Carol was the manager of the first Design Build Construction project for the US Department of Navy in Hampton Roads.

Admission includes lunch and is $20 for Chamber members, $30 for general admission.  Reservations are required and should be made by May 21 by calling the Chamber at 434-845-5966 or emailing This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
