Tommy Battle, headmaster of Virginia Episcopal School and Leadership Lynchburg Alumnus spent an October afternoon with the current Leadership Lynchburg class and alumni for their annual refresher workshop. Tommy outlined the difference between Success (the world sees you as an achiever) and Significance (you’re making an impact in a way that’s deeply important to you). Tommy came to this critical life lesson through his own experiences in the banking and investment world, a journey that led him back in 2009 to his alma mater – the school that also graduated his father and brother. Tommy describes the start of his personal journey to combining the personal, professional and financial.
